Converted Products, LLC has a great opportunity for a detail‑oriented and highly skilled industrial maintenance mechanic responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facilities. Our company performs custom converting techniques on a variety of rolled goods such as paper, films, non‑woven fabrics, and more. Responsibilities- Conduct, behavior and actions in accordance with company core values of Caring, Creativity, Determination, Dependability and Teamwork.
- Manage a preventative maintenance schedule and perform preventative maintenance work on all production equipment.
- Partner with contractors to resolve problems in installation of new equipment.
- Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair then perform the repairs.
- Dismantle machines or equipment, using hand tools or power tools, to examine parts for defects or to remove or repair defective parts.
- Assemble and test operate machine to verify correction of malfunction. Maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment. May weld parts, using arc or gas welding equipment.
- May repair or replace faulty wiring, switches, or relays.
- Work with outside vendors to find and procure needed parts for equipment.
- Perform routine facilities maintenance including painting, floor cleaning, HVAC/plumbing/electrical repairs as needed.
- Perform all work in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Drive company vehicles as needed to obtain necessary tools and supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Associate's Degree in manufacturing or a skilled trade such as machining, carpentry, electrical, etc.
Experience:
- Required:
2 years in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment. - Preferred: 5 years in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be qualified to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
- Good oral and written English communication skills.
- Must possess accuracy, organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with fellow employees at all levels of the organizational structure.
- Must be able to work under pressure and stressful situations.
- Possess a professional appearance and attitude in order to portray a positive image for Converted Products, LLC.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able to read and understand a ruler down to a 1/32 of an inch.
- Must have math skills for conversions in multiple units of measure.
- Experience in using computer software in spreadsheets, word processors, and email.
- Must supply your own basic tools.
