About the Role

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking experienced HVAC Mechanics to support a fast‑growing HVAC business in North America. The role focuses on commercial HVACR service and includes maintenance, repair, and upgrade of commercial heating and cooling systems.

• Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and open‑drive screw chillers.
• Provide the customers with the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service‑related items.
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing solutions and outcomes at the time of commissioning and aftermarket service.
• Make recommendations and offer solutions to ensure facilities run efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

• Member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL‑CIO.
• Minimum of three (3) years of commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry (rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, plumbing).
• Experience with mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators and vibration equipment for driveline troubleshooting.
• Willingness to travel 40%–70% for branch‑customer support, installation and repair duties.
• Ability to pass a knowledge examination assessing HVAC proficiencies.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for customer problem description, cause and corrective actions, and quoting.
• Universal EPA refrigerant license, applicable state or local licensing, and a valid driver’s license.
• Self‑starter with enthusiasm to learn and apply on the job.

Hourly rate of $58.92, determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits include tools, uniforms, and a company vehicle. Additional incentive programs and Service Technical Academy certification opportunities available.
