Trailer Mechanic – Earn up to $39.75/hr

Full‑Time, Monday – Friday, Various Shifts

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our Milwaukee, WI Service Center. As a Trailer Mechanic, your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

• Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and preparing safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations.
• Must be able to interpret technical manuals.
• Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems.
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and ensuring that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations.
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must own your own tools.
• Must be dependable.
• Must be prepared to work in climate situations when needed.

• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System.
• Welding.
• Experience driving yard tractor/trailers.
• Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles.
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair.
