Concrete Finishers Needed, Lots of OT Offered!

This role involves working on new construction job sites with a primary focus on residential projects and a mix of small commercial work. You will support new builds by performing finish carpentry and concrete tasks, preparing job sites, and using a variety of hand and power tools. You will work alongside experienced team members and have the opportunity to grow into broader carpentry and concrete responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities
  • Perform carpentry tasks on new residential and small commercial construction projects, with a focus on finish carpentry.
  • Assist with concrete work on new builds, including preparation, placement, and finishing as directed.
  • Prepare job sites by setting up tools, equipment, and materials, and ensuring work areas are safe and organized.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
  • Support demolition, carpentry, and concrete activities as needed to keep projects on schedule.
  • Assist with waterproofing tasks to protect structures from moisture and environmental damage.
  • Follow directions from lead carpenters and other tenured employees while contributing to team goals.
  • Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds regularly throughout shifts of up to 10 hours.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on every job site.
Essential Skills
  • At least 3 years of experience in a lead capacity within construction, carpentry, or a related field.
  • Experience in demolition, carpentry, or concrete work.
  • Proficiency with hand tools used in general construction and carpentry.
  • Proficiency with power tools commonly used on construction sites.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 pounds regularly for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Experience working in general construction or general labor roles on active job sites.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and use PPE such as hard hats and high-visibility gear.

Work Environment

The role requires regular use of hand tools and power tools, as well as involvement in concrete and waterproofing work.

The dress code includes pants, steel-toe boots, and shirts with sleeves. Personal protective equipment such as hard hats and high-visibility gear is required and must be worn as directed to maintain a safe work environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of West Allis, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $30.00/hr.
