Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician
STEM Search Group is seeking an experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician on behalf of a growing food & beverage manufacturer in the Milwaukee area. This is a 1st shift opportunity - no nights, no weekends. You'll be working in a clean, temperature-controlled, highly automated production facility with a small, close-knit maintenance team. Low turnover and strong long-term employee retention.
What You'll Do- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and process equipment throughout the plant
- Work hands-on with PLC-controlled equipment, motor controls, VFDs, and process sensors
- Calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and pH instrumentation
- Support plant utilities: boilers, steam, compressed air, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping
- Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs to diagnose issues
- Log work in a CMMS and support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a process manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment, motor controls, VFDs, and process instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, pH)
- Experience supporting plant utility systems - boilers, steam, compressed air, refrigeration, or HVAC
- Experience maintaining pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs
- Technical degree/certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing background a plus
- TIG welding experience (stainless steel) a plus
- First shift schedule: 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday - Friday
