The Property Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role located in Milwaukee, WI. This position is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance across multifamily properties, including inspecting units and common areas, completing work orders, and ensuring building systems function safely and efficiently. Daily tasks include diagnosing and repairing issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building upkeep, as well as assisting with unit turns, grounds care, and seasonal maintenance.
The technician collaborates with property management staff, vendors, and residents, maintains accurate records of work performed, and follows safety protocols and company standards. The role supports a high level of resident satisfaction by responding to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Equipment Maintenance skills to service and care for building systems and tools.
- Troubleshooting skills to diagnose maintenance issues and identify effective solutions.
- Preventive Maintenance experience to perform regular inspections and reduce equipment downtime.
- Maintenance & Repair abilities to handle general building, unit, and common area repairs.
- Industrial Maintenance knowledge for working safely with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, manuals, and basic technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a team in a residential environment.
- Basic computer or mobile device skills to use maintenance management systems.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to lift and move moderate weights as needed.
- Previous property maintenance or building maintenance experience preferred; relevant trade certifications a plus.
