Job Skills / Requirements

LACOSTA is looking to add an experienced Painter to our team in Waukegan, IL.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 1st Shift, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Pay: $23-28 an hour paid weekly DOE (every Friday)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing tasks as assigned by Department Supervisor.
  • Apply paint to various surfaces, including: walls, floors, doors, safety poles, and rails
  • Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting
  • Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection
  • Make small repairs to fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, or other fillers
  • Utilize high lifts or ladders when it's needed
  • Follow all safety requirements and standards at all times

Requirements:

  • Must have Painting / Prepping experience
  • Spraying skills are a plus!
  • Must have experience with drywall and sheetrock work
  • Must be energetic, pleasant & professional
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understanding of customer service
  • Recognize and understand safety signs and building warning systems. Understand safety requirements, understand & meet company handbook expectations.
  • Ability to change tasks or assignments outside normal duties.
  • Must be comfortable wearing PPE (Hard hat, steel toed shoes, vest, etc)
