Bell Ambulance seeks an Emergency Vehicle Fleet Technician to maintain and repair our ambulance fleet in Milwaukee, WI. In this role, you'll perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on gasoline and diesel engines, electrical and HVAC systems, brakes, and emergency lighting to ensure vehicles are mission-ready 24/7. You'll complete repair documentation, support DOT and safety inspections, and respond to urgent fleet issues.

Working in a professional, team-oriented, patient-first culture, you'll help sustain safe, reliable vehicles that directly support life-saving care and community service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on ambulance and emergency vehicles
  • Inspect and service engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, HVAC, and electrical systems
  • Maintain and repair emergency lighting, sirens, and onboard medical support equipment interfaces
  • Complete detailed repair orders and maintain accurate maintenance records for compliance
  • Support and prepare vehicles for DOT, safety, and regulatory inspections
  • Respond to urgent breakdowns to minimize fleet downtime and support 24/7 operations
  • Collaborate with operations and dispatch to prioritize vehicle repairs and availability
  • Monitor parts inventory, order components, and maintain shop organization and safety
  • Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and manufacturer specifications
  • Contribute to a professional, team-oriented, patient-first culture focused on reliability and service
