Transdev is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to keep our public transit fleet safe and reliable. In this role, you will inspect, diagnose, and repair buses and other vehicles, performing preventive maintenance, safety checks, and complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs. You'll use diagnostic tools, follow detailed work orders, and maintain accurate service records. Working in a safety-first, team-oriented shop, you'll support essential transportation that connects communities while gaining training and opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair buses and transit vehicles
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Use diagnostic tools and repair manuals to identify faults
- Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately
- Follow safety procedures, PPE use, and shop guidelines
- Collaborate with drivers and operations to resolve vehicle issues
- Support continuous improvement of maintenance practices
