Join our expanding Landscape Construction Department (LCD) at David J. Frank Landscaping
, the largest landscape workforce in the state. We offer full-time, year-round employment with a variety of tasks including hardscape construction, snow removal, and training. Our team consists of over 250 landscape professionals, graduate horticulturalists, landscape architects, certified arborists, carpenters, an agronomist, an entomologist, and more. We tackle unique projects with the latest equipment and technology.
Our Hardscape Crew Leaders must be able to report to the job site each day around the Metro Milwaukee area.
Qualifications- Minimum of three years leading and supervisinglandscape construction crews (pro-rated with advanced education).
- Possess advanced knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical and other construction skills.
- Good work ethic and positive attitude.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Accountability and commitment to improvement.
- Two- or four-year degree from an accredited college/university in landscape construction or related area preferred.
- Wisconsin Category 3.0 Pesticide Applicator License is a plus.
- Valid REGULARdriver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record is highly recommended.
- Able to successfully complete a preplacement physical (to include lifting 50 pounds) and drug screen.
- Hardscape Crew Leadersinstall various landscape construction materials (French style drainage systems, dry and wet brick paving, concrete, landscape lighting systems, timber walls and steps, steel/aluminum/plastic edging, sod, Lannon stone/fieldstone, underlayment/erosion control fabric, etc.).
- Work collaboratively with team members on residential and public job sites.
- Provide ongoing training daily with the technicians and laborers on the crew in accordance with the company’s standard operating procedures.
- Evaluate workers on the job as to their skill levels, attitudes and desire to perform.
- Conduct employee performance and pay reviews for crew members.
- Provide effective leadership in communication and creating an environment where team members are engaged and learning
- Lead and inspire your team to achieve quality outcomes for projects and services.
- Participate in seasonal snow removal during winter months (November - April).
- Compensation is based on hardscape construction supervisory and production experience.
- Compensation is provided on a weekly basis.
