Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician

Cool Sys is seeking a Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC-R and refrigeration systems for retail, commercial, and industrial customers. In this field-based role, you'll diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues, perform preventive maintenance, manage refrigerants safely, and ensure systems run efficiently and reliably. You'll work independently and in teams, follow strict safety standards, and provide clear, professional communication to customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC-R systems for retail, commercial, and industrial clients
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, system tune-ups, and component replacements to improve efficiency and reliability
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control issues using gauges, meters, and diagnostic tools
• Charge, recover, and manage refrigerants in compliance with EPA and company safety standards
• Document service work, parts used, and recommendations in work orders and digital systems
• Communicate clearly with dispatch, project managers, and customers regarding findings, timelines, and solutions
• Follow all safety procedures, codes, and regulations while working on job sites and in mechanical rooms
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service requests as needed
