Powerhouse Control Technician

Our client, a leading industrial utility and energy operations organization, is seeking a Powerhouse Control Technician to join their team. As a Powerhouse Control Technician, you will be part of the Operations & Maintenance team supporting plant reliability and control systems. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

• Install, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul instrumentation and control systems used to monitor and control plant operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities to ensure reliability and efficiency of powerhouse equipment and supervisory control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair remote and local control systems for HVAC equipment, gas turbines, boilers, air compressors, generators, and valves.
• Program and maintain programmable controllers, data loggers, ladder logic systems, and associated documentation.
• Maintain spare parts inventory, service records, maintenance logs, and assist outside service engineers as needed.

• High School Diploma or GED required;
  Associate Degree in Instrument Technology, Electronic Technology, Computer Technology, or related field preferred (or equivalent military experience).
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License.
• Experience troubleshooting instrumentation and sensing devices including pressure, temperature, UV, motion, and fluid flow systems.
• Proficiency with computers, data entry systems, email, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, wear respiratory protection when required, and meet the physical demands of the position.
