Pay: $17.00/hour

COA Youth & Family Centers nurtures children, supports families, and builds strong and resilient communities – one child, one family, one community at a time.

This is a part time position, primarily Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

This position is responsible for assisting in kitchen with food prep, distribution, and cleaning.

• Correct portions, clean and sanitized meal service area and utensils, safe food handling procedures, and measured distribution of food.
• Assist in the daily operations of the meal service to include but not limited to; food preparation, distributing meals to classrooms, doing dishes, cleanup of all areas of kitchen.
• Use all instruments and machines in a safe and correct manner.

Goal:
Model appropriate behavior at all times. This includes developing and maintaining appropriate professional relationships and boundaries with coworkers, children, and caregivers.

Attend meetings and training, as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR / First Aid certification
• Experience or desire to interact with youth from underserved areas
• Preferred:
  Experience in cooking

The physical requirements are the ability to:

• Sit, stand, kneel, crouch, and walk for long periods of time.
• Lift and carry at least 25 pounds.
• Handle exposure to heat and chemicals.
• Respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid and assist in case of an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury).
