This position serves the main customer service and administrative needs for a new program of the Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System (WCWPDS) WCWPDS provides professional development to child welfare staff in Milwaukee; foster, adoptive and congregate care staff statewide; and home visitors statewide. Beginning in 2026, it will also oversee a significant portion of training and development for childcare and early education professionals statewide.
This role involves planning, preparing, documenting, and communicating program professional development offerings, conferences, and related meetings for childcare and early education professionals.
- Send, receive, copy, and distribute communications to appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures under general supervision.
- Collect, analyze, and prepare various communication materials from established sources utilizing technology mediums.
- Serve as first point of contact for individuals and groups, providing basic organizational information via phone, in person and through other communication mediums, and routing more complex inquiries to the appropriate entities.
- Maintain established methods and organizational systems directed at the maintenance of electronic/physical records related to work operations according to established policies and procedures.
- Schedule logistics and secure resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations.
- At least 1 year experience with office operations.
- At least 2 years of experience using events planning, registration or similar software (LMS platform experience a plus).
- At least 2 years experience providing customer service in a fast paced environment.
- Experience using and/or administering a Cornerstone OnDemand LMS system or equivalent LMS system.
- Experience communicating with a variety of professionals orally and in writing.
Compensation: $21 - $22 hourly
