Job Duties:

This position serves the main customer service and administrative needs for the Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System (WCWPDS) PDS provides professional development to child welfare staff in Milwaukee, foster, adoptive, and congregate care staff statewide, and home visitors statewide. Beginning in 2026, WCWPDS will also oversee a significant portion of training and development for childcare and early education professionals statewide.

The role performs a range of administrative duties associated with planning, preparing, documenting, and communicating program professional development offerings, conferences, and related meetings, predominantly related to childcare and early education professionals. This is a full‑time university staff position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sends, receives, copies, and distributes communications to the appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures under general supervision.
  • Collects, analyzes, and prepares various communication materials from established sources utilizing technology mediums.
  • Serves as a first point of contact for individuals and groups, provides basic organizational information via phone, in person and through other communication mediums, and routes more complex inquiries to the appropriate entities.
  • Maintains established methods and organizational systems directed at the maintenance of electronic/physical records related to work operations according to established policies and procedures.
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations.

Compensation: $21 – $22 Hourly

Required Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year experience with office operations.
  • At least 2 years of experience using event planning, registration or similar software (LMS platform experience a plus).
  • At least 2 years experience providing customer service in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using and/or administering a Cornerstone OnDemand LMS system or equivalent LMS system.
  • Experience communicating with a variety of professionals orally and in writing.
