Summary

This position is a member of COA’s Goldin Center team. This position is responsible for supporting the Goldin Center Director in all aspects of the food pantry and diaper bank as well as annual or seasonal offerings, including but not limited to Beyond the Book Bag and Summer Meals. It is a full-time (40 hours a week), year-round position and is eligible for benefits.

This position includes a mix of administrative and program duties. This position requires flexibility of schedule as it includes some evening and weekend work. The Food Pantry is open Wednesday evening from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Main

Job Responsibilities Food Pantry

Goal:
Support an efficient, well‑run Food Pantry program.

  • Process customer intake, data collection, data entry, record‑keeping, etc. to ensure accurate and quantifiable measurement of program goals.
  • Process donations which include; documentation, weighing, sorting, proper storage, proper inventory rotation, etc.
  • Serve as driver for food donation pick‑ups, deliver to COA sites, and assist with loading and unloading of the COA shuttle.
  • Lead Wednesday pantry donations, including volunteer assignments.
  • Stocking commodities on a bi‑weekly basis.
  • Track inventory and support Goldin Center Director with monthly commodity reporting and ordering.
  • Act as Food Pantry primary opening staff during Saturday pantry hours.
  • Act as Food Pantry primary opening staff during Wednesday pantry hours.
Diaper Bank

Goal:
Support an efficient, well‑run diaper distribution program.

  • Manage customer intake, data collection, data entry, record‑keeping, etc. to ensure accurate and quantifiable measurement of program goals.
  • Track inventory and support Goldin Center Director with monthly reporting and ordering.
  • Coordinate delivery or pick up from program partner(s).
Program Support

Goal:
Provide quality FRC programs.

  • Effectively support and articulate COA’s vision, mission, core programing, outcomes and impact to staff, youth, families, volunteers and community partners.
  • Implement quality program activities that are inclusive, welcoming, respectful and responsive to the diversity of participants, families and community.
  • Represent COA in key decision‑making processes by providing program level perspective, insight into opportunities, and voice of the customer.
  • Collaborate with Goldin Center Director to evaluate and develop strategies and systems to support quality community programs and services.
  • Remain current with community resources in order to provide support, guidance, resources, and referrals to families.
  • Create a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
  • Maintain the physical state of all program space and equipment by practicing safety, cleanliness, and inventory control. Ensure adequate supplies on hand for programs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming space in the Moody Park Pavilion during Summer Meals.
Summer Meals at Moody Park Pavilion

Goal:
Support an efficient, well‑run Summer Meals Program.

  • Provide support to Goldin Center Director as lead for Summer Meal Program.
  • Attend partner meetings as required.
  • Receive meal deliveries from partner organizations.
  • Coordinate weekly meal service with support from Goldin Center Director.
  • Track required data; ensure daily orders are placed.
  • Perform cleaning/house‑keeping duties on a daily basis.
