The Greater Milwaukee Urban League is seeking a compassionate, organized, and results-driven Case Manager to provide comprehensive case management and employment services to participants enrolled in the Transitional Jobs (TMJ) Program and other workforce development initiatives. The Case Manager is responsible for assisting individuals facing barriers to employment by developing individualized service plans, connecting participants with supportive services, monitoring progress, and preparing them for long-term employment success.

The ideal candidate is passionate about workforce development, understands trauma-informed care, and believes in empowering individuals through employment, education, and personal development.

Case Management
  • Conduct participant intake, eligibility determination, and program orientation.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments to identify employment barriers and supportive service needs.
  • Develop Individual Employment Plans (IEPs) with measurable goals.
  • Maintain regular contact with participants through scheduled meetings and follow‑up.
  • Monitor participant attendance, engagement, and progress throughout program participation.
  • Provide crisis intervention and problem‑solving assistance when needed.
  • Maintain confidential participant files in compliance with agency and funding requirements.
Employment Services
  • Assist participants with career exploration and employment planning.
  • Provide resume development, interviewing techniques, and job readiness coaching.
  • Connect participants with employers and employment opportunities.
  • Coordinate work experience placements when applicable.
  • Monitor job placements and participant retention.
  • Conduct employment follow‑up after placement.
Supportive Services
  • Coordinate referrals for housing, transportation, childcare, mental health services, financial coaching, legal assistance, and other community resources.
  • Assist participants in overcoming barriers that interfere with employment.
  • Advocate for participant success with community partners and employers.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services
  • Bachelor's degree in Workforce Development
  • Bachelor's degree in Education
  • Bachelor's degree in or related field
  • or Equivalent experience of 5 years considered.
Experience
  • Minimum of two (3) years of case management or workforce development experience.
  • Experience serving individuals with barriers to employment preferred.
  • Experience working with government‑funded workforce programs is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Transitional Jobs (TMJ), WIOA, TANF, or similar workforce initiatives preferred.
