Job Status

Part time.

Compensation

Pay Range: $26.55 - $39.85 per hour.

Schedule

One overnight shift per week Monday–Friday, 4 pm–8 am the following day. One weekend overnight shift per month (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday), 4 pm–8 am the following day, plus on‑call duties for day shifts as needed.

Location

Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center – Wisconsin’s largest hospital, with a 24/7 on‑site heart‑care team.

Qualifications
  • B.A./B.S. or equivalent religious education based on faith group requirements.
  • 1 unit of CPE accredited by ACPE.
  • Eligible for faith group endorsement.
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive spiritual care to patients, families, and staff, including counseling, crisis response, and sacramental support.
  • Assist during emergencies, guide families through illness and end‑of‑life processes, and promote patient safety.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams; participate in care planning, education, and ethical discussions; support staff through consultations and training.
  • Contribute to departmental operations, mentoring, and community outreach while upholding organizational values and maintaining active faith community involvement.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • May be exposed to blood and body fluids; PPE required.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and bend throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to participate in overnight and weekend on‑call rotations, including moving between care sites.
  • Availability and transportation to serve on‑call rotation as needed.
