Internship Mental Health Intern

Responsibilities

• Provide in‑office psychotherapy and counseling under the supervision of experienced clinicians.
• Maintain case documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Collaborate with a dedicated clinical team and receive direct mentorship and supervision.
• Participate in training and discussions aimed at developing culturally competent and empathetic care practices.

  Engage directly with clients, fostering growth as a capable and compassionate mental‑health provider.
• Support and Mentorship:
  Work closely with a clinical supervisor and receive guidance from a supportive team of licensed therapists.
• Meaningful Impact:
  Make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals who might otherwise have limited access to quality mental‑health services.

Internship duration: two consecutive semesters, or ideally a one‑year commitment. Expected availability: 10 to 24 hours per week during office hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM).

Start Date:

Spring 2027 and Fall 2027.

• Enrollment in a master’s degree program in Social Work or a counseling‑related field.
• Strong interpersonal skills; a collaborative team player committed to forming impactful relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
