Why This Role Matters

The Clinical Admissions Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring youth entering residential care receive safe, appropriate, and trauma-informed placements. This position serves as the connection point between referral sources, families, clinical teams, and residential staff to ensure admissions decisions are thoughtful, timely, and aligned with each youth’s individual needs.

This role helps establish the foundation for a youth’s success by ensuring they enter a program that understands their strengths, challenges, and unique story. Through clinical expertise, relationship-building, and thoughtful decision-making, the Clinical Admissions Coordinator helps create the conditions where youth can heal, grow, and thrive.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate clinician who can balance clinical judgment, regulatory requirements, and collaboration while helping youth and families begin their journey with Lad Lake. What You’ll Do Clinical Admissions & Coordination
  • Coordinate and facilitate referral, screening, and admissions processes for youth entering residential care.
  • Review referrals and assess appropriateness of placement based on clinical needs, safety considerations, supervision requirements, and available services.
  • Communicate clinical recommendations, safety considerations, and treatment needs to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison between referring agencies, families, youth, residential staff, and clinical teams to support smooth transitions into care.
  • Develop, complete, and distribute Admission Screening Reports and initial treatment planning information to support safe, informed, and clinically appropriate admissions.
Clinical Support & Treatment Services
  • Provide clinical support through treatment planning, clinical documentation, group facilitation, individual therapy, and family therapy services as directed by the Assistant Director of Clinical Services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams regarding unit placement, therapist assignments, treatment goals, and ongoing resident support needs.
  • Support continuity of care by ensuring clinical information is effectively communicated across teams.
  • Promote trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and family-centered practices throughout the admissions and treatment process.
  • Build meaningful relationships with youth, families, referral partners, and colleagues through empathy, respect, and professionalism.
Documentation, Compliance & Quality Improvement
  • Maintain accurate admission documentation, electronic health records, and clinical records in accordance with agency expectations.
