Lutheran Social Services (LSS) seeks a Housing Occupancy Specialist to support safe, stable housing for individuals and families in need. In this role, you'll manage resident intake, eligibility, and occupancy for LSS housing programs, ensuring accurate records, high utilization, and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate move-ins, transfers, and exits; maintain waitlists and documentation; and collaborate with case managers to promote housing stability.

Responsibilities
- Manage resident intake, applications, and eligibility for housing programs in accordance with LSS and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain accurate occupancy records, waitlists, and resident files in housing management systems
- Coordinate move-ins, transfers, and move-outs, ensuring timely unit turnover and compliance with occupancy standards
- Serve as primary point of contact for residents regarding housing questions, notices, and basic lease-related concerns
- Collaborate with case managers and social service staff to support resident stability and retention
- Monitor occupancy metrics, prepare routine reports, and identify trends or risks affecting utilization
- Assist with income verifications, rent calculations, and documentation required for audits and inspections
- Support outreach to prospective residents and community partners to maintain high occupancy
- Respond to resident concerns with empathy, professionalism, and alignment with LSS mission and values
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, HUD, and other relevant regulations and organizational policies
