WISCS.org, known for its forward-thinking approaches to enhancing community welfare and advocating for social justice, is seeking a Youth Advisor for our Violence Reduction Program. This role is essential in developing and facilitating programs dedicated to diminishing youth involvement in violence through education, mentorship, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of the social dynamics influencing youth behaviors and exhibit a passionate commitment to transformative social change.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative outreach programs aimed at violence prevention among youth.
  • Collaborate with local schools, community organizations, and law enforcement to coordinate efforts and enhance program effectiveness.
  • Provide mentorship and counseling to youths at risk of engaging in violent activities.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for youths, families, and community members about violence prevention and conflict resolution.
  • Collect and analyze program data to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders and funders to ensure transparency and ongoing support for the program.
  • Stay updated with current methodologies in youth development and violence prevention.
