Voces de la Frontera is a national leader in the movement for immigrant and worker rights and the largest grassroots Latinx membership organization in Wisconsin. Led by low-wage immigrant workers and students, Voces works to protect and expand civil rights and workers’ rights through leadership development, community organizing, and collective empowerment. Voces de la Frontera has chapters in cities across Wisconsin.
Voces' student arm is called Youth Empowered in the Struggle.
We are seeking a creative and committed Website Administrator (Part-Time) to join the communications team. In this role, you will help maintain and strengthen Voces de la Frontera’s three Word Press websites, ensuring they are secure, accessible, and aligned with our mission. Your work will directly support organizers, leadership, and members, amplifying the voices of immigrant and working communities across our digital platforms.
This part-time, hybrid role offers flexibility while providing meaningful opportunities to contribute to campaigns, advocacy, and the broader movement for immigrant and worker rights. Every update, improvement, and enhancement you make will have a tangible impact on our community and the visibility of our work.
Note:
This position will include work for both Voces de la Frontera (VDLF) and our 501c4 sister organization Voces de la Frontera Action (VDLFA), as part of our efforts to support pro-immigrant legislation and electoral candidates and raise up the Latinx and immigrant vote in critical elections.
- Manage, maintain, and improve three Word Press websites, including content updates, layout adjustments, and navigation improvements.
- Customize themes and page layouts using HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
- Monitor site health, performance, and uptime; proactively address issues.
- Perform routine website maintenance, backups, and basic security monitoring.
- Ensure websites comply with accessibility and performance best practices.
- Coordinate with hosting providers or external vendors as needed.
- Support the integration and use of Every Action or similar advocacy/CRM platforms.
- Maintain clear documentation of site configurations and maintenance processes.
Qualifications:
- Professional experience managing Word Press websites.
- Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3; basic JavaScript familiarity preferred.
- Understanding of website maintenance, security, and performance optimization.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems proactively.
- Willingness to learn Every Action or similar CRM/advocacy platforms.
- Preferred: bilingual in Spanish and English.
Qualifications:
- Experience managing multiple websites or complex content structures.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Experience working in nonprofit, advocacy, or mission-driven organizations.
