What We Need

We’re looking for a talented and experienced Lead BI Developer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in translating business needs into powerful reporting and analytics solutions. You will partner closely with Finance, Sales & Marketing, and Operations teams to design, develop, implement, and transform business requirements into scalable, high‑performance applications. You will be a technical expert responsible for guiding the design, development, and support of our enterprise Qlik View business intelligence solutions.

What

You’ll Be Doing
  • Work with business analysts and users across various departments to understand their reporting and analytics needs, then translate these requirements into optimal and scalable Qlik View data models and visualizations.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data models, dashboards, and reports, ensuring adherence to Qlik View architecture guidelines and best practices.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain complex Qlik View load scripts, managing data extraction from multiple sources and building a robust QVD layer.
  • Create intuitive, high‑performance dashboards and visualizations using Set Analysis, variables, and optimized front‑end expressions.
  • Provide ongoing enhancements and production support for data models and applications. Identify and resolve critical business issues promptly.
  • Lead on design options and approaches, create mock‑ups of proposed solutions, and develop applications that align with agreed‑upon specifications.
  • Configure user authentication and implement robust Qlik View section access to control user access, maintaining data security and integrity.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, performance bottlenecks, and failures. Manage application deployment, scheduling, and monitoring through the Qlik View Management Console (QMC).
  • Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers, identifying opportunities for coding, process, and functionality improvements to ensure high‑quality, efficient solutions.
  • Participate in our Scrum process, taking ownership of Jira stories from conception to completion.
What You Will Need To Be Successful
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Qlik View design, development, and implementation.
  • Expert‑level proficiency in Qlik View scripting, including data transformations and optimization techniques.
  • Deep understanding of Qlik View data modeling (star schemas, link tables) and best practices to resolve synthetic keys.
  • Proven experience with performance tuning of Qlik View applications (both script and front‑end UI).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience connecting to various data sources (e.g., SQL Server, SAP, flat files).
  • Experience with Qlik NPrinting is a plus.
  • Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic, capable of working effectively both independently and as a technical lead of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate well with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Benefits
  • Comprehensive insurance coverage starting on your first day of employment, including medical, dental, and vision.
  • Generous 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid time off and holidays.
  • Opportunity to participate in incentive programs for all full‑time employees.
  • Family planning benefits including paid parental leave, fertility coverage, adoption and surrogacy assistance.
  • Education reimbursement opportunities.
  • Scholarship program for children of Brady employees.
  • A variety of Employee Resource Groups to provide you with unique networking, development, and volunteer opportunities.
  • Employee Assistance Program and related wellness programs (mental and behavioral health, family counseling, financial management).
  • Dress‑for‑your‑day dress code.
  • Charitable contributions matched through Brady’s Matching Gift program.
