Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain HIL validation test cases for Battery Management System (BMS) software.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing on embedded BMS applications.
- Configure and maintain HIL test benches using dSPACE, NI, ETAS, or similar platforms.
- Validate battery management features including:
- Cell Voltage Monitoring
- State of Charge (SOC)
- State of Health (SOH)
- Cell Balancing
- Thermal Management
- Charging and Discharging Control
- Analyze test results, identify software defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Develop and automate test scripts using Python, CAPL, MATLAB, or similar scripting languages.
- Utilize CAN communication tools for network analysis, debugging, and validation.
- Create detailed validation reports, test plans, and test documentation.
- Support integration and verification activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
- 5+ years of experience in HIL validation.
- Strong experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS).
- Experience validating embedded software for automotive battery systems.
- Hands‑on experience with HIL platforms such as dSPACE, ETAS, and Vector.
- Experience with CAN communication protocols.
- Knowledge of battery algorithms including SOC, SOH, cell balancing, and thermal management.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
- Test automation using Python, CAPL, or MATLAB scripting.
- Strong debugging and root‑cause analysis skills.
- Familiarity with automotive software development processes and the V‑Model.
- Experience working with defect tracking tools such as Jira or ALM.
- Experience with Lithium‑Ion battery systems.
- Exposure to AUTOSAR‑based embedded software.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety.
- Experience with Jenkins or CI/CD environments.
- Understanding of ASPICE processes.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
