Overview

We are looking for a talented and experienced Lead BI Developer to join our team. In this role, you will transform business needs into reporting and analytics solutions, partnering with Finance, Sales & Marketing, and Operations to design, develop, implement, and transform business requirements into scalable, high-performing applications. You will be a technical expert guiding the design, development, and support of enterprise Qlik View BI solutions.

What

You'll Be Doing:
  • Work with business analysts and users across departments to understand reporting and analytics needs, then translate requirements into scalable Qlik View data models and visualizations.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data models, dashboards, and reports, adhering to Qlik View architecture guidelines and best practices.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain complex Qlik View load scripts, manage data extraction from multiple sources, and build a robust QVD layer.
  • Create intuitive, high-performance dashboards and visualizations using Set Analysis, variables, and optimized front-end expressions.
  • Provide ongoing enhancements and production support for data models and applications. Identify issues promptly and resolve them with urgency.
  • Lead design options, create mock-ups of proposed solutions, and develop applications aligned with specifications.
  • Configure user authentication and implement robust Qlik View section access to control data access and maintain security and integrity.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, performance bottlenecks, and failures. Manage deployment, scheduling, and monitoring through the Qlik View Management Console (QMC).
  • Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers, driving opportunities for coding, process, and functionality improvements to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Participate in Scrum process, taking ownership of Jira stories from conception to completion.
What You Will Need To Be Successful:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on Qlik View design, development, and implementation experience
  • Expert-level proficiency in Qlik View scripting, including data transformations and optimization techniques
  • Deep understanding of Qlik View data modeling (star schemas, link tables) and best practices to resolve synthetic keys
  • Proven experience with performance tuning of Qlik View applications (script and front-end UI)
  • Strong SQL skills and experience connecting to various data sources (e.g., SQL Server, SAP, flat files)
  • Experience with Qlik NPrinting is a plus
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, capable of working independently and as a technical lead
  • Strong communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
