LTL Load Planner

Based in Milwaukee, WI, we operate the largest fresh 48 state LTL consolidation pool with more than 100+ trucks, and offer multiple sites with cooler, and air-conditioned storage, distribution and cross-docking services. We operate refrigerated and non-refrigerated warehouses for storage needs but also Value Added Services such as specialty packing, kitting and fulfillment needs.

The LTL Load Planner is directly responsible for load planning and routing of less than truckload orders into efficient multi-stop truckloads. This is a highly analytical planning role within operations and is responsible for ensuring we are adhering to customer requests with delivery expectations, working within the required HOS regulations, and meeting the metrics for asset utilization and lane profitability, while exemplifying our MIDWEST Values.

• Routing multi-temperature LTL shipments, while working closely with dispatch, drivers & logistics
• Making & tracking delivery appointments
• Order management & carrier selection
• Maintaining order & load status in internal/external TMS systems
• Handling & resolving delivery exceptions/delays and customer inquiries
• Communicating load delays/exceptions to shippers & receivers
• Maintaining customer KPI scorecards
• Analyzing internal load margins
• Provide temperature requirements per trip
• Understand trailer utilization, loading requirements for weight distribution
• Collaborate with team members on driver needs, weekly

• Industry experience (2 years preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree & refrigerated logistics experience (Preferred)
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications)
