About the Role
The CDL Driver III supports Field Services operations by operating vacuum trucks, semi‑vac units, and related field‑service equipment to transport primarily non‑hazardous sludge and occasional hazardous materials. The role includes pulling hoses, off‑loading, and general task‑based labor associated with vacuum operations. Work is performed independently or as part of a team and requires strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with manual‑transmission equipment.
This is a home‑daily position with rotating weekend availability.
- Operate vacuum trucks (straight‑body and semi‑vac) to transport non‑hazardous sludge and occasional hazardous materials.
- Perform daily pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections on vehicles and equipment.
- Assist with loading, off‑loading, and job‑site labor; this is not a drop‑and‑hook driving position.
- Safely operate all equipment in accordance with DOT regulations, company safety policy, and job‑site requirements.
- Support field service work, including shop duties, staging equipment, and off‑loading materials when not on a transport run.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch, field service leadership, and site personnel throughout the workday.
- Ensure proper placarding only when required; most loads are non‑hazardous.
- Accurately complete required paperwork including manifests, logs, timesheets, and inspection reports.
- Work collaboratively or independently depending on the project scope.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support field operations.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience.
- Valid CDL Class A (Class B considered only for highly experienced vacuum‑truck operators willing to obtain CDL
A). - Manual transmission proficiency required – all trucks are 10‑speed or 13‑speed.
- Clean and acceptable driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years old and meet all DOT medical requirements.
- Haz Mat Endorsement and Tanker Endorsement preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior field services experience including manual labor, confined‑space environments, or industrial service work considered an asset.
Home daily/local work based out of the Milwaukee facility. Occasional travel to Illinois may run up to 12 hours. Weekly hours average 50–55, with abundant overtime availability. Rotating weekend schedule; approximately one weekend every 1–2 months.
Equipment & Physical DemandsVacuum trucks (straight‑body and semi‑vac) with manual transmission. Slip‑seat work environment.
Physical demands include walking, standing, climbing, sitting, bending, crouching, and working in confined spaces. Ability to grip, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. Work outdoors in variable weather conditions. Must meet all functional and safety requirements of field‑service environments.

Pay range for the primary location of this position is: $52,200.00 – $69,400.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. The final salary offered will be determined based on experience, education, geographic location, skills, and travel requirements.
