- Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts and assist disabled passengers.
- Arrive at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
- Carry a valid state‑issued driver’s license at all times while on duty.
- Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
- Courteously assist customers and, if necessary, direct them to the Facility Manager.
- Report accidents, violations of company policy, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
- Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc. to the garage office.
- Substitute for cashiers or valets when authorized.
- Have thorough knowledge of the garage, major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area.
- Assist customers with luggage or other traveling items (e.g., operating shuttle buses at an airport location).
- Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
Education / Experience
Required:
Less than high school education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination.
License Requirement: Valid state driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
Availability to Work: Shift requirements vary; may need to work 3rd shift and/or weekends.
Language
Skills:
Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence and present information to customers and employees.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide two‑digit numbers using units of American money.
Appearance: Maintain a neat, clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.
Physical Demands: Regular standing, walking, handling cash and equipment; occasional lifting or moving up to 75 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.
Salary Range$15.50 per hour (+ tips). This role is eligible to earn tips in addition to the posted hourly rate.
