Materials Manager; United Energy Necedah

Position: Materials Manager (United Energy Necedah)
Responsible for participating and safely managing the loading and unloading of rail cars and trucks for incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Loading of dry distiller grain trucks and rail cars.

Loading of alcohol rail cars.

Loading wet cake trucks.

Unloading corn trucks and rail cars.

Operate railcar mover, wheel loader, skid loader and forklift on a regular basis and in a safe manner.

General housekeeping and light maintenance tasks as assigned.

Reporting daily inventories.

Scheduling area bin cleans.

Working with railroad to ensure rail safety.

Scheduling area cleans to maintain OSHA requirements.

Oversee ground maintenance during the growing season.

Schedule assisted activities for ops/maintenance and help during outages.

Report weekly area information to the management team.

Report area information in a formal management meeting on a monthly basis.

Ensure equipment is clean and well maintained.

Schedule loadout skids to be calibrated annually.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be safety minded, able to work in all weather conditions and physically able to climb.

A strong work ethic with good organizational skills and the ability to adapt to change is required.

Must be willing to learn, have good oral and written communication skills and be a team player.

Must be able to work a variable schedule within a core set of hours.

Must be comfortable operating heavy equipment.

A Class B CDL and farm background are preferred.

Physical Requirements:

The employee will be exposed to all weather conditions, heights, dust and confined spaces (with training).Employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
