The Sr. Transportation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating transportation for the rental equipment, negotiating rates with outside vendors, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

• Schedule transportation of equipment for all Rental locations in determining whether or not to use internal drivers and/or outside hauling when necessary to ensure equipment is delivered as expected.
• Responsible for tracking, communicating and helping to control Rental Services costs for transportation.
• Communicate with customers as to the location of shipments and if shipments are going to be running late.
• Schedule transfers between Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Upper Peninsula Michigan for Rental & Used departments.
• Researches, evaluates, negotiates and determines the proper outside haulers to fill transportation needs.
• Assist in the negotiation of new contracts with dedicated fleet companies.
• Develop and assist Leadership Team to mold behaviors of Coordinators and Sales Team to maximize freight recovery.
• Develop, improve and implement processes to help freight recovery numbers.
• Develop and implement efficiencies while driving down overall transportation costs.
• All other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree required.
• Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 3 plus years in a similar role/capacity and industry required
• Heavy equipment and the rental business experience preferred
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment and the rental business
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work outside normal business hours
