What you’ll be doing:You will be responsible for packaging customer orders for shipping and making deliveries to our customer sites. High attention to detail and sense of urgency are paramount in this position. This is a first shift position.
- Accurately package, label, and weigh finished products to be shipped.
- Build custom shipping crates and pallets to ship products to customers.
- Ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges.
- Verify product to original customer order.
- Prepare detailed and accurate invoices to accompany shipments.
- Load materials into vehicles and install strapping or bracing to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Drive company vehicles to transport products to company locations or customer sites.
- Contact preferred carriers and schedule pickups, ensuring packages are shipped out by deadlines.
- Work with carriers to resolve shipment concerns.
- Engage with carriers and drivers with a positive and professional attitude.
- Maintain clean work area, including compressing cardboard for recycling purposes.
- Follow and comply with all safety protocols and work regulations.
- Maintain reliable and predictable attendance.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must hold valid driver’s license with ability to travel to other work locations.
- Previous straight truck/box truck driving experience.
- At least 1-2 years of previous experience working in shipping and delivery roles.
- Demonstrate computer literacy, to include use of Microsoft Outlook.
Work environment is light industrial, with exposure to a moderate level of noise. Must be able to operate and be certified in driving a forklift. Sitting, standing, and bending at waist for up to 3 consecutive hours at a time. Daily operations in work environment includes the use of basic power tools and hand tools. May need to climb ladders and reach above shoulder height for extended periods of time.
May be exposed to fumes and airborne particles. Must be able to move freely between aisles of parts, equipment, shelving units. Must be able to carry or lift at least 50 pounds.
