Job Summary

Seeking a motivated individual to safely transport material from a client’s location to an assigned/approved destination for processing or disposal. Tasks include loading and unloading material utilizing commercial trucks and/or heavy/agricultural equipment in a timely manner. May include tankers and end dump trailers in an off road environment. Comply with all DOT, state, local and in-house regulations, procedures, and rules. Perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance on the truck/equipment.

Clean bio‑solids off truck/equipment before leaving the field site or landfill. Complete daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered rate truck/equipment while maintaining Synagro’s high level of safety standards. Perform shop clean up, maintenance, and equipment/tools setup. Daily communication with the Operations Manager.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Ability to backup truck/equipment

Ability to work varying shifts, overtime hours and/or weekend duties, including overnight stay, and travel

Communication skills - verbal and written

Ability to operate truck/equipment in a safe manner

Ability to memorize routes

Ability to understand and carry out instructions

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public

Education / Experience

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Valid Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) class A with Tanker Endorsement preferred but not required

Minimum 3 years roll‑off experience preferred

Safe driving record: no serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years or DWI/DUI in last 10 years

Hourly Rate $25-$27, based on experience.
