License: Class B CDL license
Vehicle Type: Box truck/straight truck
Schedule: 4:00am start time Monday-Friday
Hourly pay: $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr
Distance: Local deliveries - return home each night
What You'll DoAs a Warehouse Associate Backup Driver, you will ensure the timely delivery of essential electrical products from our warehouse to customers. This involves performing thorough pre‑trip inspections, loading materials, making local deliveries, communicating with customers, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Conduct vehicle inspections at the start and end of each route
- Transport and deliver products to customers with care
- Unload items such as wire, pipe, conduit, and boxes during deliveries
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
- Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor with customers
- Fill orders and issue materials and supplies per requests
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, EZGo carts, hand trucks, or dollies
- Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned
- Valid driver’s license and Class B CDL
- At least 21 years old
- Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles
- Ability to lift packages up to 85 pounds
- Ability to pass and maintain Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). examination
- Basic math skills (addition and subtraction)
- Basic English communication skills
- Willingness to learn how to operate equipment (training provided)
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future
