Role Overview
Join a dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Truck Driver responsible for safely and efficiently delivering freight across various routes. Operate a range of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and dump trucks. Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. This role involves driving, cargo handling, route planning, vehicle inspections, and maintaining compliance documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions and diverse trailers.
- Plan routes using GPS for optimal delivery schedules.
- Load and unload freight, handling hazardous materials per FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Secure cargo to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for safety and maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and delivery records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch on route and safety updates.
- Valid CDL license with relevant endorsements.
- Experience in commercial truck driving and freight delivery.
- Familiarity with manual transmission and cargo handling equipment.
- Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and hazardous materials regulations.
- Proficiency with GPS navigation systems.
- Strong safety commitment and adherence to transportation laws.
