Carrier Support Coordinator

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Carrier Support Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for transportation carriers. This position is responsible for supporting daily transportation operations by responding to carrier inquiries, resolving service issues, providing shipment visibility, and ensuring effective communication throughout the delivery process.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Serve as a primary point of contact for carriers regarding shipment status, delivery updates, and transportation-related inquiries.
• Communicate with carriers via phone and email to address questions, concerns, and service issues.
• Investigate and assist in resolving missed pickups, delayed deliveries and other transportation exceptions.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely resolution of carrier-related issues.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of carrier communications, issues, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
• Assist with transportation reporting and administrative tasks as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills including active listening.
• Strong customer service and relationship management abilities.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in transportation, logistics, customer service, dispatch, or operations support.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
