Job Summary:

The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for modeling and promoting Sendik's culture by

consistently providing "best in class" service to our guests. The main responsibility of the Warehouse Administrative Assistant is to act as a liaison between the vendors and the Warehouse. In addition, the Warehouse Administrative Assistant will also be responsible for daily administrative tasks including, but not limited to, answering phone calls, responding to emails and organizing paperwork.

Work Experience

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Daily review of invoices; compare invoices to the purchase orders and report any discrepancies
  • Record Order Picker information, including, but not limited to, time-sheets and pick rates
  • Maintain consistent communication with stores and vendors to confirm accurate orders and make
changes if needed
  • Double-check accuracy of orders; investigate any discrepancies
  • Communicate with vendors to confirm daily dock appointments
  • Oversee the dock schedule for receiving
  • Assist with creating purchase and store orders as needed
  • Assist with ordering office supplies for the Warehouse
  • Provide general assistance to Warehouse associates as needed
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the Warehouse
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures
  • Assist with all other duties as needed
Qualifications:
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age due to required operation of Warehouse equipment
  • Prior warehouse experience is preferred
  • Ability to work in different temperature zones, including cold environments (i.e., coolers, freezers)  Eagerness to interact with customers
  • Strong sense of team - ability to anticipate the needs of the team
  • Strong knowledge of local and state health, sanitation and safety regulations
  • Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions, priorities and circumstances
  • Ability to maintain composure, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervision
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong computer skills, working knowledge in Microsoft Office product suite and Google Products  Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
