Responsible for scheduling inbound and outbound material flow in the warehouse and the organization and storage of raw materials, in-process and finished goods inventory within the warehouses. Analyze contractual commitments and other data necessary to plan and develop logistics programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Comply with all Liphatech safety policies and procedures.

Monitor and maintain storage inventory and distribution of in-process goods, finished goods and raw materials.

Direct all receiving, traffic and shipping operations.

Coordinate carriers for all inbound and outbound shipments.

Maintain daily shipments to provide best customer service at the lowest cost.

Partner with the Customer Service department to coordinate the loading and documentation of export shipments.

Track order shipments and address shipping issues related to damaged goods, delays or missing items to maintain customer satisfaction.

Utilize ERP system to generate shipping documents and organize finished product, raw material and packaging inventories at multiple locations.

supervise and train the daily activities of warehouse and material handling personnel.

Negotiate shipping rates and contracts with carriers. Evaluate and audit carrier performance.

Maintain, monitor, update and ensure compliance with all DOT regulations.

Maintain the quality, organization and availability of in-house raw materials and packaging components to meet production demands.

Ensure production support by managing the timely and accurate transfer of raw and packaging materials from warehouse to manufacturing.

Assist operations to maintain inventory accuracy.

Qualification Requirements:

Certifications and Licenses:

None.

Supervisory Requirements:

Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws when needed. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or

Experience:

Two (2) year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.

Minimum of five (5) years experience in Logistics, Warehouse management or related field.

Knowledge of MRP/ERP Manufacturing system, specifically SAP, preferred.

Prior experience in shipping rate and/or contract negotiation preferred.

Protective Clothing/Equipment Requirements:

Requires use of safety glasses and safety shoes.

Requires occasional use of disposable protective coveralls.

Requires occasional use of Nitrile gloves.

Safety Training:

Must successfully complete training in:

Basic Hazard Communication

DOT Training

Fork Lift

Motorized Pallet Jack Training

Safe Lifting

Scissor Lift

Language

Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively communicate information to supervisor and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply commonsense, understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Other Skills and Ability:

Ability to operate a forklift or obtain a Fork Truck Operator’s license.

Basic knowledge of computers and software packages such as Windows and Microsoft Office suite are required.
