Material Handler II
The Material Handler II safely receives, picks, packages, and ships products in a fast-paced distribution center while operating warehouse equipment and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Responsibilities- Receive incoming materials and products, verifying quantities and quality against documentation.
- Pick orders accurately from inventory according to work orders and shipping documents.
- Package products securely and prepare shipments to meet quality and delivery standards.
- Load and unload trucks using a sit-down forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operate warehouse equipment in compliance with safety procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by using an Inventory Control System to record movements and adjustments.
- Organize and stage materials in designated areas to support smooth warehouse operations.
- Handle materials up to 40 lbs frequently as part of daily tasks.
- Follow all warehouse safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced distribution center and collaborate with team members to meet production and shipping goals.
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience at Level 1.
- 2–3 years of forklift experience loading and unloading trucks at Level 2.
- Proficiency operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs on a regular basis.
- Experience using an Inventory Control System to track and manage stock.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Commitment to safe material handling practices and equipment operation.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a fast-paced distribution center environment on 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Work involves frequent use of a sit-down forklift, regular lifting of up to 40 lbs, and daily interaction with an Inventory Control System. The setting is warehouse-based, with a focus on safety, efficient material flow, and adherence to established processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
