Position SummaryProvides scheduling of student courses and registration in primarily high schools, or for a major school activity, either individually or through coordination of additional clerical staff. Provides clerical support which may include but are not limited to serving as school secretary, school fiscal clerk, special projects and events manager, school registrar, and associated school fiscal clerk.
The Technical Scheduling Assistant may perform or oversee the performance of many duties that exists in office clerk/assistant secretary positions.
CompensationInitial wage placement according to NCSD/OSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Retirement Plan Contributions:
North Clackamas School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. The district contributes the employer portion; there is also a mandatory employee portion. Upon eligibility, which is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position, the employee is required to contribute 6% as their employee portion, via payroll deduction.
Part‑time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
Schedule:
TBD; subject to change depending on department need.
Work calendar: 260 days.
Minimum Qualifications- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible office experience involving independence of action and decision‑making responsibilities.
- Must possess advanced clerical skills, including typing and filing, and possess advanced knowledge of student data systems.
- Keyboarding skills of at least 40 words per minute.
- Knowledge of general secretarial procedures, excellent grammar and proofing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to interact with students, parents, staff, and community members, personally and electronically.
- Initiative and ability to work with minimal direction; sound judgment and decision‑making capabilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all school and personnel matters.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, gender, and religious diversity.
- Bilingual and bicultural skills.
- First aid, CPR certification.
- Scheduling and Enrollment Support:
Assist counselors and administration in designing master class schedule, provide course codes, teacher numbers, staff FTE, section numbers, class counts, new courses, and noted changes. Prepare forecasting documentation and reports; distribute class registration packets; process enrollment information; review conflicts and find alternatives; maintain master schedule data; process schedule change requests; assist with balancing class size and teacher loads. - Student Registration:
Lead the registration process for all students, ensuring paperwork and data entry. Review student schedules; ensure accuracy; confirm attendance area; enroll students in online learning credits; manage withdrawal process. - Student Records Requests and Data Reporting:
Lead receipt and forwarding of permanent student records; enter, update, and maintain confidential student personnel data; report student attendance, grades, transcript changes; order and maintain student rosters; prepare custom reports; distribute progress report cards; assist with data collection for reports. - School Budget and Fiscal Records:
Set up and maintain building budget, department budget, and purchasing records; manage fees; verify receipts; prepare bank deposits and financial statements; coordinate with bookkeeper; maintain inventory and supply orders; prepare budget and purchasing reports. - Secretarial Support:
