Position: Elem Teacher, PE, (.7 FTE), Perm

Elementary Teacher, Physical Education (0.7 FTE) – Part‑Time, Permanent

Schedule: Schedule to be determined by building administrator.
Physical Education endorsement required.

Position Summary

The employee is primarily responsible for effective teaching and learning of the assigned subject(s) following district approved curriculum, instruction and assessment practices. Primary responsibility shall include student safety and appropriate collaboration and attention to each student’s readiness to learn, including needed guidance, discipline, and welfare. Employee may teach in a variety of elementary and/or secondary educational, individual or team teaching settings.

Salary & Stipend
  • Annual Salary Range (2025‑2026): $58,788 – $111,463 (193‑Day Contract); reflects 1.0 FTE. Actual salary is prorated based on FTE and start date.
  • Stipend(s) are pro‑rated based on 1.0 FTE and start/end dates of position/assignment.
  • Additional stipend: $2,500 if certified by NBPTS (National Board for Professional Teaching Standards).
  • Additional stipend: $3,000 if holder of a PhD or EdD.
Retirement Contribution

North Clackamas School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP). The district contributes the employer portion; employees also contribute 6% via payroll deduction once eligible. Part‑time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Successful completion of an accredited teacher certification program.
  • Possesses or is able to obtain Oregon licensure for elementary‑multiple subjects.
  • Experience working with culturally diverse families and communities, or has demonstrated commitment to strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with a diverse population.
  • Evidence of continuous professional learning and commitment to professional growth opportunities and self‑reflection on practice.
  • Demonstrated content knowledge for subjects/levels taught.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with parents, students, and staff.
  • Commitment to effective collaboration and teamwork within a professional learning community.
  • Skill in classroom management and ability to achieve, support, and maintain acceptable student behavior.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use appropriate multiple assessment, instruction, and evaluation techniques.
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent development and ability to apply that knowledge to selection and application of curriculum materials and instructional practices.
  • Knowledge and skill in strategies necessary to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Knowledge and skill in culturally responsive teaching and learning.
  • Skill and ability to utilize technology to aid instruction, assessment and learning.
  • Any position‑specific special qualifications indicated in the recruitment process.
