Working independently and collaboratively with others, this position plays an integral role in executing our mission, philosophy, and commitment to providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers. EssentialJob Functions Include:
- Designs, analyzes, modifies, and maintains test equipment automation and control systems.
- Develop equipment engineering budgets.
- Deploy and debug automation controls hardware and software.
- Develops appropriate technical documentation including systems requirements, specifications, configuration settings, instruction manuals, and guidelines.
- Provide sustaining engineering support for new and old equipment.
- Supervise construction of automated test equipment.
- Manage contractor resources including engineering services.
- Support team training and mentoring.
- Support new product introduction process.
- Manage tasks associated with multiple projects and achieve commitments to project milestones.
- Effectively communicate project status, design challenges, and resource constraints to leadership.
- Accountable for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in assigned area.
- Responsible for design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, including a self-assessment and report to management.
- Accountable for developing and monitoring processes and practices necessary for legal and ethical compliance in assigned area.
- Performs other various duties as may be assigned.
Experience:
- Five years of automation controls engineering experience.
- Five years of experience with automation systems including industrial motors, variable frequency motor drives, servo systems, programmable controllers, equipment wiring, and integrated control systems with PC user interfaces.
- Degree in an applied science field or equivalent industrial experience and training certification.
- Excellent skills using MS Office applications (especially Project, PowerPoint, and Visio).
