Position OverviewThe Technical Project Manager plays a critical role in delivering technology initiatives that support and enable Bob’s Red Mill’s business operations. This role is responsible for leading application‑focused projects—including implementation, enhancement, deployment, and optimization—while also establishing foundational project management practices within the IT department, and Bob’s Red Mill as a whole. The Technical Project Manager will help define how technology projects are planned, executed, communicated, and measured.
While assisting in building a foundation for all project management at Bob’s Red Mill this position partners closely with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Leads end‑to‑end delivery of IT and cross‑departmental projects, with a primary focus on application implementation, enhancement, integration, and operational improvement.
- Manages project intake, scoping, planning, execution, and close‑out using consistent project management methodologies.
- Partners with business stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and translate business needs into actionable technical project plans.
- Coordinates cross‑functional teams including IT, Finance, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, and external vendors.
- Develops and maintains detailed project plans, schedules, risk logs, and status reports.
- Facilitates project meetings, including kickoffs, status reviews, risk escalations, and retrospectives.
- Tracks project progress, identifies risks and dependencies, and proactively recommends mitigation strategies.
- Supports application deployments by coordinating testing, change management activities, training readiness, and go‑live execution.
- Establishes and refines foundational project management processes, tools, templates, and reporting standards for IT.
- Assist in establishing project management software and application uses, including workflows and data reporting.
- Promotes visibility, transparency, and accountability across all initiatives.
- Continuously evaluates and improves project delivery practices based on lessons learned and team feedback.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
- Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations, Safe Quality Food (SQF) Standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager.
