This is a per diem/on call position.
The Transportation Specialist schedules and coordinates the day-to-day transportation activities for assigned drivers and center. The Specialist provides on-site leadership, training and coaching for drivers.
MAJOR CHALLENGES- Completing a large volume of transportation requests from a variety of disciplines within the required time frame.
- Adjusting to frequent interruptions and changing priorities.

Required Qualifications- Upon request:
Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information. - Within 6 months (180 days) of hire BLS/First Aid
- 1 year Transportation scheduling experience using transportation routing/scheduling software.
- 5 years Driving experience, which includes:
- Driving a large passenger van or small bus.
- 2 years of experience transporting people with special needs.
- Experience using a personal computer with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Some college-level studies.
