Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Project Estimator for our engineering team, based onsite at our Fibrebond manufacturing campus in Minden, LA. This role is responsible for providing accurate cost estimating data to enable both competitive quoting and accurate cost accounting within the company. You will analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare material, labor, and sub-contractor estimates for projects.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $56000 - $83000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Fibrebond, an Eaton company, designs and manufactures pre integrated modular buildings and power enclosures that protect mission critical equipment for data center, industrial, utility, and communications customers. In 2025, Fibrebond was acquired by Eaton, expanding Eaton's modular solutions portfolio while preserving Fibrebond's strong engineering expertise, customer focus, and manufacturing operations in Louisiana.

• Provide estimates to enable the company to quote in a timely and competitive manner.
• Review project specification data to determine material and labor requirements, and to ensure that all required information for calculated cost is included.
• Analyze specifications, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts, and calculate production costs using material pricing schedules and historical data.
• Obtain cost data and product information from vendors and subcontractors.
• Consult with customers, vendors, and other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Confer with employees in other departments such as production, engineering, project management and bill of materials for exchange of technical information.
• Accountable for estimates of predicted material, labor and subcontractor costs.
• Maintain records of estimates in order to ensure traceability and that they may be readily retrievable.
• Analyze the performance of all Request for Quote pricing to job cost for any trends that have a negative impact on profitability.

Basic (required) Qualifications:

• High school diploma and three years of applicable experience in project estimation/pricing OR associate's degree or higher and one year of experience in project estimation/pricing.
• Must be able to read blueprints / drawings with ability to analyze detailed specifications.

• No relocation is offered. Candidates must currently reside within a 60-mile radius of Minden, LA to be considered. Active-Duty Military are exempt from this geographical limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or higher in technical discipline such as engineering, construction management, or similar from an accredited institution.
• High level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas).
• Previous experience analyzing financials such as calculating figures and amounts including discounts, interest, proportions, percentages and volume.
