Overview
Compucom Staffing’s Level 2 Support Technician will provide end‑user support onsite in Minden, LA, as part of a long‑term contract. You will assist clients with hardware, software, mobile devices, printers, RF scanners, and access points, along with participating in planning, inventory, and disaster recovery activities.
Responsibilities- Deliver deskside service for laptop/desktop related hardware/software break‑fix incidents.
- Deploy, configure, and support mobile devices, printers, RF scanners, and productivity software for internal users.
- Assist with configuration, installation, patch updates, and hardware replacements for desktops.
- Provide support for PC‑grade UPS.
- Support smart‑hands tasks related to access points and switches as per SOP.
- Assist client IT team with network and infrastructure projects, including hardware and systems administration.
- Participate in maintenance, upgrade, inventory and risk assessment, and disaster recovery meetings.
- Take appropriate action for non‑compliance with security requirements.
- Asset tagging and updating asset database per SOP.
- Experience with Windows 10/11 and ticketing (preferably Service Now).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Manufacturing or supply‑chain environment experience a plus.
- Day shift schedule, willing to work overtime and some after‑hours.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs alone or 50 lbs with a partner; walk/sit/stand/crawl/kneel for extended periods.
$27.00 – $30.00 per hour, subject to local minimum wage and other factors.
