Security Guard – Night Shift (7 on / 7 off) at Fibrebond, Minden, Louisiana.

This is an overnight position with a modified schedule from 6 pm – 6 am, including a 6‑hour shift on Thursdays. The schedule consists of 6 hrs on Thursday, 12 hrs Friday–Wednesday, 6 hrs Thursday, and off Friday–Wednesday. Hourly rate is $18.15 per hour, subject to qualifications and market.

The Security Guard monitors the Fibrebond campus to ensure security of the entire facility, fills assigned post orders on a 7‑day rotation with 12‑hour shifts, patrols all buildings, parking lots, and grounds to assure security and prevent damage or loss of company and employee property, and completes detailed logs and reports as necessary.

• Provide professional, courteous, and customer‑service‑level security to anyone entering the campus, and when appropriate, respond to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents, handle unruly guests or visitors, and handle issues in a calm, professional manner using appropriate problem‑solving skills.
• Monitor points of egress and conduct regular but random rounds, both on foot and in a vehicle.
• Operate computer systems including cameras, access controls, and alarms.
• Check doors, windows, and access gates to assure security.
• Monitor all systems for fire, flood, and any facility damage.
• Maintain daily logs as instructed by management and complete incident reports as needed.
• Complete daily housekeeping of the guardhouse.
• Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in security functions or physical access control (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, good judgement, and professionalism.
• Physically fit, mentally alert, and emotionally stable to respond in emergencies.
• Ability to sit for long periods, walk or stand, work in all weather conditions, and handle extended shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to drive a vehicle if needed.
• Ability to climb stairs or ladder if needed.
• Ability to patrol in the dark if required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation).
• Ability to use a computer and monitor camera, access control, and alarm systems; prior knowledge of these systems is a plus.
• Will maintain a 12‑hour shift on a 7‑day rotation and remain alert.
