Summary:This position will require an experienced
Class A Commercial Driver
to safely transport heavy equipment related to pipeline construction. This role is critical to ensure timely and secure deliveries while maintaining consistent incorporation of the company’s safety initiatives into daily tasks.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:
- Safely secure, load/unload, and transport pipeline construction equipment
- Maintain tractor/trailer in accordance with all D.O.T. Regulations
- Acquire State and Parish/County permits
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of fluid levels on oil, water, fuel for vehicle prior to operation.
- Perform daily electronic pre/post trip equipment inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines.
- Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of various types of heavy equipment.
- Ability to calculate weights of equipment with truck/trailer combo to stay within DOT permitting restrictions and guidelines.
- Drive truck equipped with different trailer combinations
- Perform basic pipeline construction task
- Represent Energy Transfer with professionalism
- Provide high level of service to customers
- Adhere to all company safety rules, policies, and procedures
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Level C requires a minimum of 0 – 2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience
- Level B requires a minimum of 2 – 4 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience
- Level A requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience
- Valid driver’s license with demonstrated safe driving record
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a group environment
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work independently and exercise good judgement
- Must reside within 3 hours of reporting office location
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to learn and perform operation and maintenance tasks associated with various types of facilities and equipment
- Proficiency with computers including MS Office applications such as Excel and Outlook as well as other computer based work training, time reporting, expense reporting, and on-line work applications and documentation

21 years of age or older
- Class A CDL
- Must pass a current DOT physical
- Must possess and maintain a D.O.T. Medical Certificate and meet FMCSA Medical Standards
- Must be able and willing to obtain TWIC card (depending on location)
- Minimum of two-years verifiable oversize/overweight truck driving experience
