Notifies appropriate personnel in cases of unacceptable samples and records all information in the appropriate department log;
Documents via log any specimen receipt issues and hospital and laboratory computer systems for registration and/or accessioning;
Adheres to the laboratory's Quality Assurance policies and OSHA PPE requirements;
Assists in the training of new clerical accessioning staff by coaching and mentoring;
Accurately monitors pertinent patient demographics and information to the appropriate designated department
