Environmental Compliance, Environmental Engineer
Position Summary
The position assists the Environmental, Health, & Safety Team in promoting the environmental, health, and safety of plant operations to assure individual employee well-being and compliance with corporate, local, state, and federal requirements. With direct supervision, you will learn and perform the various aspects of the function by:
- Developing forms for EHS processes.
- Review New Hire Trainings and site-specific trainings to help update/revise.
- Re
- Evaluate noise levels in PEM, Cores, and Filtertex. - Develop forms and processes for waste movement and storage from departments to waste containment.
- Formulating a better process from waste containment to shipping of waste and Manifest collection.
- Help with formulating a process for TCEQ required stormwater collections, possible air-permitting.
- Strong leadership skills and a “can do” attitude
- Strong analytical, mechanical conceptualization, and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn new applications
- Strong innovation and creative thinking, self-motivated
- Proven ability to handle confidential information
- Detail oriented individual with demonstrated organizational skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team member
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- Ability to complete the job following all policies or procedures regarding safety, waste handling, and environmental regulations without direct threat or significant risk to the health, safety or environment.
- Currently enrolled in bachelor's or master's degree in related field such as:
Safety, Environmental Sciences, Public Health, Chemical Engineering.
